I'll be flying down on Saturday morning, and our hotel is right next to Wembley.  So we'll be near the Green Man all weekend.  (Flying down with another 9er, a Cowgurl and a Bear.  Meeting another 9er and his mate in London).  I think our plan for Sunday is to go to the Tailgate about lunchtime, then up to the Green Man, and then back down for the game!

Looking forward to catching up with you guys.  I hope someone will be keeping an eye on the 9ers score on Sunday though!  ;)

No worries Scottish, I have a mate back in Harlow  who will be watching it online and texting me with updates! :)  So I can pass those on to everyone whilst we watch the Pats/Bucs game if you want?
Also, if you're going to the tailgate around lunchtime, keep an eye out for me Scottish, i'll be there around the same time - I'll be in a red Staley jersey (this years one), 5'6, short dark hair.  Might have on a classic 1990s gold/red 49ers jacket if its raining!

BTW I'm coming with a Pats fan (my dad - not a bandwagon fan, he actually saw them play in the 80s), a Packers fan, Giants fan, and my girlfriend whos a niners fan! (like she has a choice eh!)

LONDON -- NFL commissioner Roger Goodell expects the league to start playing multiple regular-season games in Britain in the next few years -- an expansion that could lead to putting a franchise in London.

We arrived yesterday afternoon in London.

Morten Andersen and the Bucs cheerleaders will appear SATURDAY at Footlocker so it will not interfer with the meeting tomorrow at the Green Man  :)  I hope some of you will find your way there  ;)

Sorry you guys are not enjoying a better game over there.  Next year maybe the league will give you 49ers vs the Gurls; how  8) would that be?

Thanks London look forward to it.

NFL might try to find a home team for England.

On the heels of a third straight sellout in London Sunday, everyone's looking for the Next Big Thing in international expansion. Two games in England next year, probably, with the prospect of going to four in Europe by 2012. But I'm told reliably (and reported on NBC Sunday night) that one of the options the NFL will consider in the next year is choosing one team to play annually in London, so the league can work to develop a following over there.

If the league can find a willing partner -- Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk wrote Sunday night, "Get ready for the London Shaguars'' -- it could be an interesting experiment. Say the Glazer family, owners of the Bucs and Manchester United, wanted to form some sort of marketing partnership. Particularly with an expanded schedule to 17 or 18 games, would the Glazers want to play a Buc Bowl over there annually? Would Jacksonville trade one of its non-sellouts for a crowd of 75,000 there each year? Or would Buffalo? Stay tuned.

Staying with the NFC vs AFC theme so far I don't see us facing the Gurls  ;) but you can only hope we soon get our European debut. A lot more 49er jerseys around this year  8) Perhaps we could get a retro-SB v the Bengals?

I had pictures taken with London49ers and his wife, Scottish and with Hojer who I met after we came inside Wembley. As soon as I get them from my mates I shall try to make them available  :)

A few cheerleader pics from Footlocker as well

Made it back in one piece!   8)

A fun trip.  Nice to catch up with London and Grid on gameday, just a shame it wasn't a better game to watch.

Who was the most represented team in the crowd?  Let me guess Pats and Brady jersey right?

Yeah, an awful lot of Brady jerseys around.  But there was a nice mix of tops on display around the tailgate and at the pub.  I saw a fair few 9ers (including at least one JT O'Sullivan top!!), Cowboys, Bears, Bucs obviously, Raiders, Seahawks, Cards, some NFL Europa tops, and pretty much at least one or two of every other team.  Even saw one guy in a fantastic powder blue Oilers top.  There also seemed to be a meeting of some Browns fanclub at the pub, there were loads of them with a big banner.  Everyone there for the love of the game, not just the love of their team!

I saw JT O'Sullivan as well and a single TO  :P as well

What really struck on the plane home I can't remember seing a single Willis jersey!  :o  it was all Gore, 3 Crabtree's (besides my own) and London49er featuring Staley....

I am sure we can mail the pics to the gallery, Bryan  8)

Despite the one-sided matchup it was quite spectacular seing 84,000+ waving Bucs flags in the beginning

I saw quite a few Willis jerseys grid, plus 4-5 Montana Jerseys, 2 or 3 Rice ones, 1 Young jersey and even a solitary Tim Rattay jersey!  I also saw quite a few of those awful fake jerseys from ebay :(

I'll upload some of my pics to the 'Dise gallery this evening :)

I even saw a Crabtree jersey :)  Some fanatical 49er fan I'm sure...

Sorry to miss you guys at the Green Man, second straigth year we've had delays coming over. Well, at least we made it to the Green Man this year - nice place. Really crowded place, especially inside where everybody's was watching Liverpool beat up Man United. Nice ;)

It's such a great atmosphere at these Wembley games, everybody's there just to have a good time. Hopefully a better game next year. The 49ers maybe? Led by Alex Smith and his new PowerHouse Offense?

yeah the Green man was a helluva lot more crowded than the past 2 years.  They'd added 4 outside bars this year (2 of which were pretty big) but 3 of them had been run dry by the time we got there at 2pm!  And there was no way of getting to the bar indoors, so we stayed for half an hour or so and then headed to the stadium.

BTW I uploaded a few pics to the 'Dise gallery - inc a photo of the Lombardi trophy, a Fred Dean jersey and Montana signed footballs, a huge Montana murial photograph adorning the hall of fame marquee wall, my view from my seat, cheerleaders(!) and an action shot of Brady passing to Welker (boo!)  :)

Have you uploaded your pics from Wembley yet, Grid?

Or are you still too devastated from the loss this week-end? (And I don't mean the Bucs or the Niners losing :) )

Love the fact that Joe, Steve, and Jerry are still getting some love from the old school fans.  Still, please tell me that at least a couple were also wearing R. Lott?
