NFL at Wembley, 28 Oct 2007

I was wondering if any UK 9er fans are going to the game and might be interested in meeting others like myself. Whether I get a ticket or not I am going to London before the game.

grid - I'd recommend emailing my friend, Graham Barford, most recently known to be in charge of the UK 9er Fan Club!!!

Email me if you can't find his contact info!!!

He is a wonderful fan (& I love him dearly!! And his wife & daughter too!! :) )

Thank you, Jules.

I considered writing him. I was part of the UK fanclub and still have my UK supporters jacket I had it on when we met at the Cards game in dec. 05

I'll see what I can do  ;)  The stadium capacity is 80.000 three days after the game was announced more than 500.000 had signed up for tickets..... It will be huge! (even if the two teams suck)  8)

Definately. London is little more than an hour away by plane and I had this planned before the entire season schedule was revealed. We are 3 guys who have all signed up hoping for tickets. It will be a nice "warm up" for my december journey  :)

Will do. I expect to go even if I/we should not be lucky and obtain tickets in the lottery on May 16th!  I wouldn't miss a chance to bash Eli  ;)

They went fast as hell this just shows the popularity of this league is world wide and only a matter of time before we have a team or 2 over-seas?

The way I figure it there will still be a lottery round including mainland Europe so I'll keep my fingers crossed and also have check out if tickets will be available through American "sources" once sales are opened there  :-\

Thats a good point Grid & do you have any friends that might be interrested in going that can also try to get the tickets?  2 ppl you might have a better shot at getting them.

We are 3 guys all registered in the lottery. The 2 others are still trying to decide whether they want to go if they have no ticket in advance.......

The increase in exposure will be good for business and the games will be sold out for sure!

I can see no reason why they wouldn't! Safety measures are probably more developed than at US stadiums due to hooliganism  :-[ and like in the London game this year crowds will come from near and far. Except for a few select stadiums like Nou Camp in Barcelona stadium capacities are quite similar. The New Wembley venue will be the second largest in Europe behind Nou Camp but most are in the same range as NFL stadiums.

I would not be shocked if they did either Grid.  I remember when we played in Mex. a couple years ago and that stadium was filled plus tax!

I just watched the FA Cup Final in soccer yesterday. It was also the revealing of the New Wembley which will host the London game. That is one awsome stadium!

Neither. I hate them both equally (since I followed Liverpool in my younger years) but I had a small bet Manchester would take the trophy....and missed!

I hated Man. United they acted like the Yankees.  Years ago, Blackburn was pretty bad.  Then they got better.  Last year in the top six. This year not as well top ten .  I like the rose too.   I love soccer and went to the World Cup at Stanford.  Brazil was great to watch.  I love the fans from Brazil.
